It is not just the NUST website but a number of other websites have been reportedly showing the same malicious page including the Botswana Police Service website police.gov.bw.
The NUST website in particular has gone through a number of these attacks over the years. This is really a wakeup call for the university itself and other webmasters of important institution websites to make sure platforms are secured and updated to avoid getting compromised and potentially losing a lot of data.
There hasn’t been an official statement from the University itself or ZRP pertaining this issue. At the time of writing the NUST website domain seems to have been shutdown. We assume they are working on a new and secure build to avoid such attacks down the road.
