St John’s Emerald Hill High School is a Catholic, co‑educational day school run by the Dominican Sisters in the suburb of Emerald Hill, Harare, Zimbabwe. It was founded in April 1925 by Sister Mary Wilhelmine and Sister Rita, initially serving underprivileged Coloured and Indian children. By December that year, enrollment reached 18 students, and today the school serves over 700 day scholars. The school’s motto is Veritas, which means “Truth” in Latin.
