Background and Development
The school was opened in 2009 as the first primary school under the Wise Owl brand. Its aim was to provide structured education in a calm and spacious setting, slightly outside the main Marondera town. In 2017, the Marondera campus was approved as a Cambridge International Centre, allowing it to officially deliver the Cambridge Primary programme.
Curriculum and Learning
Wise Owl Primary Marondera follows the Cambridge Primary curriculum, which covers English, Mathematics, and Science as core subjects. In addition, learners study ICT, Agriculture, Heritage Studies, and Shona. The school uses a learner-centred teaching method that includes digital learning, reading practice, handwriting development, and teamwork. The academic day runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with boarding learners following a full-day routine that includes study time and co-curricular activities.
